What is Autism Really? Workshop

Targeted at Schools and Organisations at Venues

(for Teachers, Professionals, Caregivers, and Public)

Online/On-Site Workshops: Customised

(3 hours)

  • What does it take to have a relationship with an autistic individual who speaks, feels and acts so differently from you?

  • What kind of attitude must you have?

  • What practices can you engage in to help you develop a useful attitude?

In 2023, A Mother's Wish, with a subsidy from SG Enable and Tote Board, under the Enabling Lives Initiative, created five digitally illustrated videos.

  1. What is Autism Really?

  2. What is Autism-Friendly Interaction Really?

  3. What is an Autism Meltdown Really?

  4. What is an Autism Meltdown during Adolescence Really?

  5. What is Autism Caregiving Really?

These short videos offer insights into challenging autism behaviours from autistic individuals' perspectives and introduce helpful strategies.

As these videos have been kept deliberately short for carers busy looking after autistic loved ones, our workshops will bring together the knowledge and the strategies in one integrated approach.

Through our interactive approach with experiential scenarios and hands-on practices, we hope to challenge our participants to step out of their comfort zone, suspend their mainstream reflexes, and adopt strategies with flexibility and adaptability.

Customised workshops at your convenience may be organised for groups of at least 5 individuals and above. Please contact us for further discussion.
