A Mini EpiEco Caregiver Resource Guide on Autism

I was delighted to have the opportunity to develop this mini EpiEco Caregiver Resource Guide as part of the EpiEco Project. It features the four shifts in perspective and strategy that lie at the core of EpiEco — treating the emotional wellness of your autistic child as the EPICENTER with the focus on cultivating an ECOSYSTEM of caregivers (personal and professional) capable of supporting them effectively. "Try This Today" activities accompanying each shift are inserted to get you started on this journey.

The first two are foundational non-negotiables — the (1) acknowledgement/acceptance of the neurodivergence of your child as a positive and (2) your caregiving ability as a primary caregiver as well as the 'leader' of the Ecosystem.

Without establishing these two shifts in mentality, you will not be able to effect meaningful and sustainable change. Shifts 3 and 4 will not be possible — engaging in practices to expand the ecosystem towards building an inclusive society.

Please note that this guide is a good start. It can begin to plant the seeds of change within you. However, to engage in genuine change, please contact me directly.
